Michael McKennedy's Free Rally Drive At Mitchelstown Forestry
18 year old leaving cert student, Michael McKennedy from Clonakilty competed in his first rally in Mitchelstown Forestry.

In the extreme conditions he showed composure and ability beyond his years driving a faultless rally interpreting the notes like a seasoned campaigner.

Starting off cautiously, finding his grip and building his confidence to catch and overtake 2 cars on stage 3,and not putting a wheel wrong throughout the whole rally, really demonstrates what a prospect this young man is.

The delighted McKennedy was thrilled to accept the prize of best novice after finishing 39th overall, 8th in class and a full 19 minutes ahead of the first junior driver home.

The winner of the 2005 RallyConnection Scholarship earned himself an all expenses free rally including car hire, entry, tyres etc.- a full arrive and drive package. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for any budding novice driver from a proven Rally School and a genuine scholarship scheme.
