We recognise that the safety of those participating in school activities is of paramount importance. RallyConnection use fully prepared rally cars to ensure that the customer experiences the realism of a rally car, while benefiting from all the safety features essential in car rallying. Rally cars are constructed to a much higher safety specification than ordinary road cars. These cars have all the joints ‘seam’ welded for strength. The cockpit has a safety roll-cage with multi point fixing in the car designed to protect the roof and sides from collapsing in the unlikely event of an accident. All cars are also fitted with fire extinguishers and first aid kit.
The car seats are rally bucket seats, which cradle the occupant giving the maximum security and comfort. The occupant is secured in his/her seat by means of a safety harness, which is anchored to 6 points in the car. Also all customers will wear helmets and suits that fit correctly and provide maximum comfort and protection. When customers are under instruction, the car is under the control of the instructor by means of a ‘cut off switch’ and the handbrake.
